Overview of the Chapter
The Family Social Work Chapter is continuing with its purpose of enabling space amongst professionals, working with families using Social Work theories and principles, to share and learn from experienced practitioners and thinkers of Family Social Work.
Objectives of the Chapter:
Enhance: To develop competencies such that the Chapter will be able to provide local and regional training and consultancy in family social work.
Innovate: To promote and nurture innovative and creative new approaches and methodologies in Family social work practice.
Stay Relevant: To review and redefine Family Social Work (FSW) practices in response to the changing social service landscape.

Past Achievements
E-Tea Time Talks
The E-Tea Time Talk serves as a platform for achieving the Key Areas of Focus. Since its inception in July 2016, the Chapter hosted a total of Nine Tea Time Talks in collaboration with organisations where family social work is practiced.
Criteria to Join Us:
- Members of SASW, and
- Currently practising workers in the Family Social Work sectors
