This arose from her past experiences in reviewing\, redesigning and developing community-based interventions involving volunteers and partners. Jean also believes in the importance of capacity building so that staff\, volunteers and service users can then go on to do more with who they are and what they have. Jean was conferred the Promising Social Worker Award in 2012.
