Notice of 56th Annual General Meeting

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 56th Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the SINGAPORE ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS (“SASW”) will be held on Friday, 25 September 2026, 7.00pm at the Singapore Association of Social Workers, Blk 324, Clementi Avenue 5, #01-209, Singapore 120324.

Registration for the AGM starts at 6.00pm. Dinner will be provided. 

The AGM is held to transact the following business:

  1. Commencement of SASW 56th AGM and Confirmation of Quorum
  2. Welcome Address by President
  3. Confirmation of the Minutes of the 55th AGM held on 29 August 2025
  4. Matters Arising from the 55th AGM
  5. President’s Report
  6. Honorary Treasurer’s Report
  7. Adoption of FY2025/2026 Annual Report and Financial Statements
  8. Appointment of Auditor
  9. Any other issues raised by members (to be submitted to SASW Secretariat 14 days before the AGM)
  10. Closing Speech by President

B. Minutes of the 55th AGM

The minutes of the 55th Annual General Meeting are attached for your attention. The Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements for the financial year ending 31 March 2026 will be sent to members in the Second Notice before the AGM.

C. SASW Membership

If you have not renewed your membership for the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, please do so online at SASW Membership Portal by 18 September 2026 to attend the AGM. Please note that only SASW members may attend the AGM. Eligible Life, Fellow and Ordinary Members may also vote on matters presented at the AGM.

D. Registration

Please register your attendance for the AGM via the Registration Form by 18 September 2026, 6.00pm. If you are unable to attend and wish to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf, kindly indicate this in the online registration form and provide details of your appointed proxy. The proxy must be an active SASW member.

E. Items for Agenda

Members who wish to place items on the agenda should do so via email to admin@sasw.org.sg by 11 September 2026, 6.00pm, giving 14 days’ notice to the Honorary Secretary.
